Christ Jesus Is The Son Who Deserves To Be Called Wonderful, Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God ( El Gibbor ) and Everlasting Father ( Isaiah 9:6 ). Christ Jesus is Wonderful Christ Jesus, the Lord of David and of Israel ( Matthew 22:41-44; Psalm 110:1-2; 140:6-7 ), is Wonderful not only in the sense that He is astonishingly/amazingly/strikingly infinitely outside of the ordinary/usual but also because He is great, singularly doing wonders ( Psalm 86:10; 72:18; 77:14; 78:12; 107:8, 15, 21, 24, 31; 136:4 ) and His testimonies are wonderful ( Psalm 119:29; Revelation 19:10; 1:2, 9; Matthew 24:35 ). He is doing wonderful things without number or infinitely ( Job 5:1-9; John 21:25 ). Thus Christ Jesus is the most exciting ( II Corinthians 5:14 ), fascinating ( Hebrews 3:1; 12:2 ) and enjoyable ( Revelation 3:20; John 15:1-5 )

Person in all of reality. He deserves everyone’s entire attention, homage- devotion and loyal service ( Matthew 6:24; 4:10; John 12:26; Luke 6:46-49; Colossians 3:23-25; Revelation 22:2-5 ).

Christ Jesus Is The Counselor

Christ Jesus is called Counselor because although He is the Most High God ( Genesis 14:18-20; John 3:31 ) yet He is the infinitely present ( John 1:1-3, 10; Matthew 1:23; 18:20; 28:20; Ephesians 1:21-23 ), covenant- keeping ( II Corinthians 1:19-20; Matthew 5:17-18; II Timothy 2:13; Revelation 19:10; Nehemiah 9:5-38 ) and all- enlightening ( John 8:12; 1:4, 9; Psalm 27:1 ) Lord God. Some of His own covenant- people were deceived by a nation of liars because the said covenant- people believed in appearances and did not ask counsel from Him ( Joshua 9 ). These people who are deceived by appearance because they did not seek counsel from the Lord are unlike the Psalmist who even in his stupidity and ignorance still adheres to his God who is Christ Jesus Himself. So the Psalmist was guided by the counsel of Jesus, the Most High God ( Psalm 73:1-24 ) who is the omnipresent Lord God, and the Psalmist’s Refuge, Strength of heart and Portion forever ( Psalm 73:11-28 ). Christ Jesus is the Lord who brings the counsel of the nations to nought and frustrates the plans of the people ( Proverbs 21:30-31 ). But the counsel of the Lord Jesus Christ stands forever and the thoughts of His heart prevail to ALL generations ( Psalm 33:1-11; Proverbs 19:21; Matthew 24:35; Luke 6:46-49 ). He counsels His own, instructing and teaching them the way they should go ( Psalm 32:2 ). So that they should not be like animals without understanding which must be curbed with bits and bridles ( Psalm 32:9 ). They should wait for His counsel and not forget His words ( Psalm 106:13 ). They should not rebel against the Words of God and spurn the counsel of Christ Jesus, the Most High ( Psalm 107:1-11 ). For He is doing wonders in taking care of His own faithful ones ( Psalm 107:1-43 ).

Christ Jesus Is The Prince Of Peace

The Biblical revelation teaches that the highest, greatest and all- inclusive referent of God’s Peace ( Shalom ) is the Lord ( YAHWEH ) God Himself. The Lord IS Peace ( Judges 6:24 ). Since Peace is predicated of YAHWEH Himself and since YAHWEH Himself is a Person, therefore, it is thus declared, taught and claimed that Peace IS a Person. But who among the three Members- Persons of the Biblical Trinity is Himself the very Personalization of Peace? It is not God the Father. Although God the Father is the God of Peace ( Hebrews 13:20; I Thessalonians 5:23 ) yet He is not Peace Himself. God the Holy Spirit also is not Peace Himself. Although God the Holy Spirit is working to bring about Peace ( Galatians 5:22 ), still He is not the Personalization of Peace. For Peace is IN the Person of Christ Jesus, the Almighty Lord God the Son prior to, during and after His incarnation ( Judges 6:1-24; Luke 2:14; Ephesians 2:14; John 16:33 ). Indeed, the Almighty Lord Jesus Christ Himself IS our Peace ( Ephesians 2:14 ). Since Christ Jesus, the Almighty Lord God the Son incarnate, Perfect Man and ALL in all Himself is our Peace, therefore, it is He who is the Head/Chieftain/Ruler/Commander/Governor ( note that the Hebrew word “sar” which is usually translated into English as “Prince” really means Head/Chieftain/Ruler/Commander/Governor ). It is Jesus who Heads/Commands/Rules and Governs the conditions/states and realm of God’s peace for all because God’s Peace is in terms of the wholeness, harmony and prosperity under the Headship of Jesus, Commanded- Ruled by Him and subjected to His Government/Kingdom. Otherwise, there is no peace of God to the wicked. Certainly those who do not obey Jesus shall not see life but the wrath of God remains on them ( John 3:36 ). The peace that the world gives is not only temporal or subject to change and death but it is also merely a compromise with evil. However, Jesus as our Peace, through Himself and for us, has already overcome the finite, changing, evil and death- bound world ( John 16:33 ) as He functions not only as our Salvation from the sins, the evil spirits and the death of this perishing world but also as our Eternal Life ( Romans 6:23; I John 1:1-3; 5:20, 9-13 ), Permanent Dwelling Place ( John 3:35; Colossians 1:17; Acts 17:28 ), Infinite Glory ( II Timothy 2:10 ) and FINAL DESTINY ( Revelation 1:8, 17, 18 ).

Christ Jesus Is The Mighty God

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Mighty God. The description and compound designation “Mighty God” is the English translation of the Hebrew descriptive compound designation “El Gibbor” which means Champion and/or Hero God. Christ Jesus is the Champion and/or Hero God not only because He is the singularly, personally and directly self- revealing God of gods and the Lord of lords ( Deuteronomy 10:14-17; Psalm 136:1-26 ) who exposes and/or proves the nothingness of idols or false gods or whatever is claimed and/or alleged as God although it is not truly God. But Jesus is also the God who is victoriously fighting for His own people ( Exodus 15:1-21; John 16:33; Romans 8:35-39; Colossians 2:15; Ephesians 4:8; Revelation 19:11-16 ). Jesus, being the Lord of all ( Acts 10:36; Romans 10:1-13 ), is the all- prevailing God ( Exodus 15:1-18; Revelation 19:11-16 ). God the Father being the ever invisible, ever in secret and ever dwelling in unapproachable light to all of creation is not the El Gibbor. God the Holy Spirit, since He only manifests Himself symbolically to all of creation, is not the El Gibbor. Christ Jesus being the Almighty Lord God the Son ALONE is the El Gibbor. Besides the LORD GOD the Son there is no Hero- Champion- Prevailing God who IN His own Person overruled or fought, defeated and punished all evils and who ALONE is the one who truthfully, graciously and justly Sustains ( Acts 17:25-28; Hebrews 1:2-3 ), Judges ( John 5:22 ), Saved ( John 4:42; [ John 4:14 ] ), Ransomed ( I Timothy 2:5-6 ), Redeemed ( Titus 2:13-14 ), Kept to Himself ( Jude 1; John 17:15-24 ) and Renovates ( Revelation 21:1-7 ) all things and everyone or each one and all of those who by being created- made- formed- preserved, inherited, judged, purchased- redeemed- ransomed- saved- sanctified and glorified in, by/through and for Christ Jesus and who in their respective total self- determination have truly given all of their all to Jesus.

Christ Jesus Is The Everlasting Father

1. In the interpersonal Eternal infinitely perfect kinship relationship of the three Members- Persons of the Biblical Trinity of God the Father and of God the Son, Christ Jesus our Lord, and of God the Holy Spirit, the aforementioned Christ Jesus is not and never will be God the Father or God the Holy Spirit. For this Christ Jesus is ALWAYS God the Son ( Hebrews 1:8; John 1:18; I John 5:20 ). However, although God the Father is the Father OF the Lord God the Son, Christ Jesus, yet this Lord God the Son, Christ Jesus, is a father Himself.
2. Although God the Father is always the one and only God the Father ( I Corinthians 8:6 ) yet the Lord God the Son, Christ Jesus, is also a father Himself. The fatherhood of God the Father is distinct, different and unique from the fatherhood of the Lord God the Son, Christ Jesus. The foregoing designations are reflected in the relationship of Abraham and his son Isaac. Abraham is always the biophysical father of Isaac and Isaac is always the biophysical son of Abraham with and through Sarah. Yet Isaac is also a biophysical father. Isaac is the biophysical father of Esau and Jacob. Although Isaac is also a father yet he has never become neither should he be confused with nor can he take over the person of his father Abraham. So Abraham and his son Isaac are now both fathers but the fatherhood of Abraham is distinct, different and unique from the fatherhood of Isaac. Similarly God the Father and His only begotten God the Son ( John 1:18; Hebrews 1:8-12, 2-6 ), Christ Jesus, are both fathers but the fatherhood of God the Father is distinct, separate and unique from the fatherhood of the Lord God the Son, Christ Jesus.
