Know Your Yuppies Leaders

photoHi TAFJ Youth and Yuppies. I’m sister Lorraine from TAFJ Antipolo and San Juan Outreach, a full-time servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. I teach God’s Word and lead worship every Sunday. I work as a Virtual Assistant while managing a Christian community/Facebook page during weekdays. I love to write, make music, study the Bible, and share everything I learned to others. When I found out I was nominated as a Yuppy Officer, I’ll be honest that my initial response was “maybe not at this time.” In my mind, my schedule was already full. I’m working, taking care of my 3-year old, leading small groups, managing my online ministry, and teaching Bible studies. I have this long list of ministries I plan to focus on, and being a Yuppy Officer is not on the list.

However, the Lord was quick to remind me about the importance of being surrendered to His will, and how He wants us to be an open vessel He can use. My loving husband also reminded me that “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” (Proverbs 19:21) It’s true. I may have my own plans, but His plans are greater than mine. I won’t limit His provision for my life. If He calls me to it, He will provide everything I need to accomplish it. So I immediately told Jesus, “Ok, here I am Lord. Not my will, but Your will be done in my life.”

I am certain that Jesus will provide the strength, time, and resources I need as I serve Him in any ministry. Whatever His will is, I’m someone He can send. 🙂

With or without a position, may we all continue to serve the Lord faithfully. Before we vote, may I also request everyone to pray for wisdom as we choose new servant-leaders for our TAFJ Ministry. May the Lord’s will be done in our upcoming election. Thank you for taking the time to read this! Lord bless.
