-True Prosperity

True ProsperityAs long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper. 2 Chronicles 26:5 NKJVThe works of the Lord are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. Psalm 111:2

One great work of the Lord is that He makes us to prosper, though not necessarily in a monetary way. Jesus said, “I am come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (Jn. 10:10).

An abundant life is not found in all the things we do, in all the places we see, in all the careers we have, nor in all the things we can afford. It is found simply in knowing the living God.

There is tremendous pleasure in seeing the works of the Lord done on our behalf, and great peace in knowing the only true God, for this is everlasting life (Jn. 17:3). If we never seek the Lord, how can we find such great treasure?

Modern treasure seekers invest millions of dollars in technology and manpower in their uncertain quest for the lost treasures of someone else. If we simply invest time searching His Word in prayer and obedience, we are guaranteed to find the limitless treasures of the One who owns all things.

Behold the glories of the Lamb
Amidst the Father’s throne!
Prepare new honors for His name,
And songs before unknown!
