A Willing Heart
“But she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.” Mark 12:44 NKJV
“Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9
The currency of heaven is not silver and gold, but willingness of heart. Jesus pointed out this poor widow who cast such a tiny amount into the temple’s treasury. But because of her willing heart, in heaven’s view she cast in far more than anyone else there at the time.
The Lord Jesus was possessor of heaven and earth, but He was willing to cast it all before His Father in order to do His will. Now in the same vein, we can be rich with the currency of heaven by having a heart to do His will.

|O Thou great all-gracious Shepherd,
Shedding for us Thy life’s blood,
Unto shame and death delivered,
All to bring us nigh to God!
Now our willing hearts adore Thee,
Now we taste Thy dying love,
While by faith we come before Thee,
Faith which lifts our souls above.
