Are We There Yet?

Revelation 1:1-3; Luke 21:25-28; Isaiah 46:10

 

It looks like it was only yesterday when we were at one time hearing plotters and conspiracy theories but now these have become a reality. This is what they call the “new world order” or the “one-world government, one world economy, one world religion”. This is no longer a conspiracy theory. It is no longer a hidden sinister plot of the globalists. It is now in the open. The stage has been set, all the players are in place and the curtain is now about to be raised.  What we are seeing today has been in the works for many years. We might have just slipped with them into the proverbial slippery slope and there is no way of turning back the cabal of globalists and they are now starting to take control of this world.

The coronavirus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic triggered or set into motion the development of events that ushered in the new world order or the one world government. The lack of information or misinformation, intended or unintentional, has caused a lot of uncertainty and fear in the hearts and minds of people. No one has ever encountered the novel corona virus before, and the projections as to how many will be infected and how many will die have been over-projected but later serological studies (test for antibodies developed after being infected of the novel corona virus) show that the denominator to come up with the mortality rate has been under-estimated. Later serological surveys show that the infected population was sometimes 85 times higher which would result to a lower mortality rate than projected telling that the disease is not so deadly as predicted. If this is true, what is the reason for the quarantine, the lockdown, the isolation. Why do we not address the disease to the most prone, like the senior citizens? What will now happen to the nation’s economy or translated to a more personal question, what shall happen to our livelihood,  how shall I feed my family, how can I send my children to school?. But some quarters of the medical field has questioned the lower mortality rates of the survey, thus, heightening the uncertainties of our the present predicament. 

Controversies like this has caught the attention of the greater population and has raised questions as to when will the lockdown, ECQ, GCQ end so people can go back to their “normal” (original or modified) lives? After a business has closed operation for 2 months, will it be revived or will it survive? Do the people still have jobs to return to? Will all the employees be rehired or will some be laid of (permanently or temporarily)? 

What aggravates the fear and anxiety of the people are statements from health groups and influential people as to when will the emergency quarantine or lockdown end. Statement from Bill Gates of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation says “the world will need 7 billion vaccine doses to end the pandemic.” Adding fuel to the fire are health groups saying, “COVID exit strategy depends on getting the whole world or the 7.6 billion population vaccinated. But when will that be? When can we develop a vaccine for the novel corona virus to control the disease or eliminate the virus.

Consider the swiftness of events. From the start of this year when the world was already learning of the corona virus to the present times, so many have already happened. This is exactly how the Lord Jesus characterizes the events we are experiencing now. The Lord Jesus said, “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Jesus said in Matthew 24:5-8, that these are but “birth pains” before the day of the Lord or the 7 years of Tribulation or the last week of Daniel’s 70 weeks when the Lord will deal again with Israel. Birth pains become more frequent and more intense as the mother nears the birthing of the baby. 

The world has been anxiously and fearfully transfixed on Covid-19 that we even failed to see other on-going birth pains like the “large earthquakes that rocked the ring of fire” (charismanews.com) (Slide 2) and the “hundreds of billions of locusts (Slide 3) are swarming through parts of East Africa and South Asia, the Gulf States and Iran, threatening their food supplies and livelihoods” (BBC) and the “continuing unstable ME peace situation” (Slide 4). But these birth pains and COVID 19 are only a foretaste of the events during the Tribulation period which was described by the Lord Jesus as a period “such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake (Israel’s), those days shall be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)

What comes after the Rapture of the Church (John 14:1-3; 1Thessalonians 4:16-18) is the 7-year Tribulation period though not necessarily immediately following. A very significant event during the Tribulation period is when the antichrist, the man of sin, the son of perdition, in the middle of that 7-year period, he treacherously breaks his covenant with the Jews as their peace purveyor, but instead, he becomes their persecutor. Then the antichrist stops the temple offerings of the Jews to God and he desecrates the temple and sits in the holy place speaking blasphemous words against the Lord God and declare himself to the world as god. From thereon, the false prophet, the cohort of the antichrist, by deception and great lying wonders, causes the dwellers on earth to make an image of the antichrist. And the false prophet makes the image come alive and that whosoever will not worship the image of the antichrist should be killed. Then the false prophet force everyone both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark or the name of the antichrist or the number of his name. What number is this? It is the number of man and his number is 666. (Revelation 13:5-18)

As I have previously said, the events described in the preceding verses (Revelation 13:5-18) when the antichrist starts his rule over all the earth during the Tribulation period. These events have been in preparation for some time and it may even have passed unnoticed by many of us. Some of us may have even dismissed it as a plan of the globalist cabal that may not have happened or may happen in the far future, maybe, not in our lifetime. But they have become a reality now and have prepared the revelation of the man of sin after the rapture. The rapture event will take away the convicting influence of the Holy Spirit through the believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who are called by Him to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. When the restraining and convicting influence of the Holy Spirit is taken away during the Rapture, the floodgates of hell are opened and evil and wickedness break lose. This is the Tribulation period when the Lord will pour on earth the wrath of God as a judgment to this evil and rebellious world who does not want to submit to the Kingship of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Tribulation period is the last chance for man to try ruling the earth. It will be ruled by satan and the antichrist by deceptions and unrighteousness (2 Thessalonians 2:10) and great wickedness in that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5). This is the time when the Lord shall send them strong delusions that they will believe a lie that they may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12). This the time when the Lord will “give them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves; when the Lord will “give them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature; and when the Lord will give them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:24-32)

What have happened in the past that set the global stage (one-world government; one-world economy and one-world religion) for the revelation of the antichrist:

Now, all these technologies that the antichrist will use are now in-place or some will be ready very soon for use by the antichrist sometime in the middle of the Tribulation period or 3 ½ years after the revelation of the antichrist because when the false prophet forces all those remaining on earth to receive the mark of the antichrist, you will no longer be here.)

Other contributing factors to the ushering in of the Tribulation period is that the temple should have been built by then. This is still a big question till now, However, POTUS Trump’s “Deal of the Century” which proposes to annex the West Bank and defines the jurisdiction that will be given to the State of Palestine. This may be the covenant “he (the antichrist) will confirm” or a better translation is “he will strengthen” according to Hebrew scholars. The word for confirm is “gabar” and written as “we higbir” instead of meaning “he will confirm” it means “he will cause…to overpower”.

All these preliminaries of the Tribulation are now in play or under swift development, it means that the Tribulation period is very near. And if the Tribulation period is in the offing, it stands to reason that the Rapture is much nearer because the Rapture happens before the start of the Tribulation period when the antichrist will strengthen or overpower any objection to the covenant. Then 3 ½ years later or during the middle of the Tribulation period, the antichrist will declare himself as god and the false prophet will cause all to worship the image of the antichrist and force them to receive the mark of the antichrist.

Now, I would like to show you a chart which I think will let us know the signs of the end times but not the day and the hour of the Lord’s coming for His church or the Rapture. The chart takes knowledge that by the middle of the 7-year Tribulation the vaccine and the digital ID would have been in-place or made ready for use by the antichrist. But according to the World Economic Forum, they estimate the vaccines will be available not earlier than 10 years from now. Mind you that this is a projection by man and could be in error but we receive it as an educated estimate. From this I make this slide showing the start of Tribulation. Then the Rapture can then be estimated to happen anytime between this time “now” until the time just before the start of the Tribulation period which would appear to be at the farthest 6 ½ years from now. The chart would look like this (Slide 18):

Are We There Yet?

We are not waiting for the antichrist. We are waiting for the Lord Jesus Christ, our blessed hope. We are living in very exciting times. We are strangers here and our pilgrimage will soon be over, we will soon be home. Our home is not this planet earth for the world is passing away. We desire a better country, that is, a heavenly. We are going to that city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:10) How do I know? It is the promise of Jesus and all the promises of God are fulfilled in Jesus, they are yea and amen in Him (2 Corinthians 1:20). The good news is that He is coming soon. He said, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:1-3)

The Bible says, “Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20). In Col 3:2,  Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Therefore, let us not dig our roots too deep in this temporal soil of this earth. Corrie Ten Boom  said this once, “Hold everything in your hands lightly, otherwise, it hurts when the Lord pries your fingers open.” The Lord was talking of things of this world. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the prosperity the Lord has blessed us with. We thank the Lord for them but it would do us good if we hold on to them loosely because this is not our home. 

For sure, before the world enters the period of judgment of the Lord and the pouring of His wrath upon an unbelieving world, we shall be out of here. The mark of the antichrist would not be our problem because before the Tribulation starts, we shall be out of here. That is, if you are a committed Christian in faith, hope and love for the Lord Jesus Christ. If not, you do not have to go through the dreadful wrath during the Tribulation period. You can be saved if you turn from your sinful ways and by faith turn over your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, confessing Jesus as your salvation and eternal life and Jesus will give you the right to become a son of God. And by the authority of the word of God, you will be saved and be included in the rapture above and so you will be with the Lord forever in His glory.   (The Lord’s Message, 16 May 2020)
